Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Your email address, from however you sign in: Apple, Google, or a code we email you. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we only ever see Apple's private relay address.
• If you sign in with Google, Google also sends your name and profile photo link. They are stored with your account by our sign-in provider. We don't use or show them.
• The games and franchises you watch, your alert settings, your console, and which alerts you've read or cleared.
• The games you mark as owned in My Games, along with the eShop price that day. That snapshot is how we work out money saved.
• If you turn on notifications in the iPhone app, a push token for your device. On the website, if you turn on browser notifications, a browser push subscription. These are only used to deliver your alerts.
• A record of which alerts we sent you and whether they were delivered, so we never send the same alert twice.
• When you open an alert notification in the iPhone app, the time you opened it. This shows us whether alerts are useful. It stays in Blippd's own database.
• If the iPhone app crashes, a crash report: what failed in the app, the app version, and your iPhone model and iOS version. It holds no account details, email address or sign-in tokens. Those are removed before it is sent.
• Standard request logs on our servers, including your IP address. They are kept for security and to fix problems.
• A link you share from Blippd carries a short code, so Blippd can count how many people a share reaches. The count stays in Blippd's own database.

What we don't collect

• No third-party analytics, tracking or advertising tools, in the app or on the site.
• No location, contacts, photos, or anything else from your phone
• Nothing about what you buy. Blippd links to Nintendo's own eShop and never sees your purchases. "Own" is just a tap you make.

How we use your data

• Send launch, sale and price alerts for games you watch. They appear in your alerts list, and as push notifications if you turn those on.
• Email you a sign-in code when you ask for one. That is the only email Blippd sends.
• Remember what you watch, what you own, games you mark Not interested, and your settings (including the app icon badge)
• Show your money saved and collection milestones, privately, to you only

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data to third parties
• We don't track you across apps or the web
• We don't use your data for targeted ads

Who else handles it

A few services run Blippd for us and only process your data to do that job:

• Supabase (hosted on AWS) stores your account and data and runs sign-in
• Resend sends our emails
• Expo delivers push notifications to the iPhone app through Apple's push service
• Vercel hosts the website
• Vercel and Supabase keep standard request logs, including IP addresses
• Sentry receives crash reports from the iPhone app
• Cloudflare Turnstile checks that an email sign-in request comes from a person, on the website and in the app
• Apple and Google handle sign-in if you choose them

Your choices

• Turn push notifications off any time in iOS Settings. Signing out of the app removes that phone's push token.
• Older alert emails carry a one-click unsubscribe link, and it still works.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, on the website or in the iPhone app (Settings, then Delete account). This permanently removes your account, your email address, everything you watch and own, your alert history, and your push tokens. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

Children

Blippd is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
